We brought Miranda and Kaitlyn in for this shoot to film all of the scenes they are in together.
Firstly, we had to do Kaitlyn's make up, put in her contact lens and then she had to put on her costume. It took us quite a while to get the contact lens in which left us with little time to get everything done.
In one of the shots we had planned to do, Cassandra's red ribbon drops from above the camera as Scarlett turns around. To do this, I stood on a stool, so I was out of shot, and dropped the ribbon behind Miranda. Rebecca filmed and directed, telling me when to drop the ribbon and when Miranda should turn around. As the ribbon was unpredictable as it fell, and it fell quickly, we found it very difficult to get the shot we wanted. We played some of the shots back to see what we could do to improve and I suggested we moved the camera to a different angle.
When we filmed the corridor scene with Kaitlyn we found that, by filming through a window the camera and Rebecca could be seen in the reflection. We had to adjust the camera and also move out of the way after we had pressed record in order to get an effective and professional shot.
